- Product Description: Now this particular one is a tad more than what may meet the eye. Way back in 2018 when we set about naming the company StrangeLove, in my mind it mostly stemmed from the Kubrick film title. You know, a little merkwürdigliebe. But now, having dipped my toe into Germany, I have to say that I was not at all well versed in Depeche Mode. In that particular '80s timeframe, I was a dorky little shit hanging out around the bus station downtown flailing nosepick 360 shove-its with reckless abandon. The very idea or notion of sweating it out in a dark dance club in a large metropolitan center was about the furthest thing from my small town midwestern mind. So no, the company moniker did not stem from a song of the same name by the aforementioned band—a song, incidentally, that accompanies this graphic quite well if you give a listen to the chorus: "Pain, will you return it? / I'll say it again: pain / Pain, will you return it? / I'll say it again: pain / Pain, will you return it? / I'll say it again: pain / Pain, will you return it? / I won't say it again." I think you get the idea. Strangelove indeed. So, imagine my confusion when I was in a parking lot one day and a stranger came up to me and asked if I'd seen the band play. What, huh? I had to look down at what I was wearing to see what he was talking about… it was a run of the mill StrangeLove CineLogo tee? He must have read the confusion on my face, because he's like, "You know, Strangelove—the Depeche Mode tribute band." Goddamnit. Anyway, this one's for them. Enjoy the silence.
